Rosedale renovation and additions

The existing residence consisted of two separated wings with an open area in the centre. As the owner had an interest in Feng Shui, it was important to connect these two separated wings.  A new entry and portico closed the gap between the wings and formed an internal Japanese themed garden of which all the living spaces looked onto. The existing pitched roof remained but was hidden behind a stud framed parapet/facade treatment.  A mixture of render and shadow clad lining was used to give visual breakup. The rust orange blade piers supporting the portico define the entry.
